Metal ceramic crowns

These are the most commonly used crowns in the modern era. also called porcelain fused to metal crowns. They are used to get both strength and aesthetics and for both anterior and posterior teeth. They have a frame that is metallic and is lined with ceramic coating. In comparison to plastic and metal crowns, metal-ceramic crowns are much more durable and aesthetic. They also possess natural transparency. They are a good choice if the patient is allergic to metal. A Chromium-Cobalt alloy is the most often used material for making the frame.
